An underwater robot made its debut at the European Robotics League competition

On 14-19 July 2019, an underwater robot designed by students of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology Robocik Science Club took part in the European Robotics League competition held in the NATO base in La Spezia. Underwater and land robots competed in various tasks which reflected the activities carried out during real-life rescue operations. ROV 3.0, a version created last year by students from Wrocław, had the task of detecting buoys or sound sources located underwater, recognizing fires and mapping a shipwreck.

Despite the fact that ROV 3.0 did not score any of the top places, it was appreciated by the jury, who awarded to it a special prize for the best debut.

Congratulations! We wish you further successes!
