Encapsulated transformers by Zettler

Date of publication: 25-12-2023 🕒 3 min read

Zettler is a manufacturer with over 100 years of experience on the electrical and electro-mechanical components market. It is mainly famous for the production of transmitters, but it also offers thermostats and TFT/LCD displays. Today, we are presenting our customers with the brand’s encapsulated transformers.

The Zettler solutions presented here are components designed for direct mounting on the PCB, using through-hole technology (THT), so they can be connected to traces designed for high voltages and amperages. They are available in a wide power rating range, from 0.35 VA to 3.2 VA and in two thermal class versions: T 50B and T 70B. They have been made to be supplied with European mains voltage, i.e. 230 VAC (primary winding), with values at the leads of the secondary winding ranging from 6 V to 24 V (output current ranging from 20.8 mA to 533 mA). In addition, Zettler products are characterised by small body dimensions, fitting in blocks from 23x24x19.5 mm to 41.8x35.5x27 mm.

Encapsulated transformers can be used in many circuits, mainly where the device is exposed to dust or moisture. Their compact size makes them suitable for installation in compact mobile equipment.
