(46 020)Industrial applications require connectors that reliably conduct electrical signals under all environmental conditions. For this reason, it is necessary to use special, adequately durable materials, but equally important is the design that prevents penetration of the contact area by moisture and chemicals present in the environment, which can cause corrosion. Often, the connector housing should also shield the connection point and be securely connected to ground.
Circular connectors
Industrial circular connectors are characterized by high durability and resistance to external factors. With an IP rating of up to IP68 they are used in industrial control devices, industrial automation applications, vehicles, medical devices, and more. We offer panel connectors and cable connectors with different number of pins. Additional accessories for circular industrial connectors, such as covers, plugs, and fasteners, are available separately. Circular connectors usually have standard threads that attach the plug and socket and fix their relative position to each other. Typically, these are 7/8-inch threads or metric M5, M8, M9, M12, M16, M23, and M27 threads. Thanks to their advantages, in addition to industry, circular connectors are also used in military radio-electronic equipment, military vehicles, batteries, and other applications.
Rectangular connectors
Rectangular connectors are perfect for many applications. Because of their shape, such connectors are easier to attach. They can also contain a greater number of pins and connection options not available in circular connectors. Rectangular connectors can be used for power, signal, data, and even compressed air transmission. In addition, thanks to the available options and the large number of pins, these connectors allow, for example, the easy disconnection and transport of control cabinets, operator consoles, and manipulators.
