WeEn Semiconductors
WeEn Semiconductors is a global joint venture company founded in 2016 by NXP Semiconductor N.V. and Beijing JianGuang Asset Management Co. Ltd from China. The headquarters is located in Shanghai, China. The components manufactured by WeEn Semiconductors are created with the help of an experienced team that had previously worked for a Dutch semiconductor manufacturer – NXP (formerly Philips) – until 2016.
WeEn specialises in bipolar technology, and develops and manufactures a wide range of thyristors, triacs, diodes (including power diodes), high-voltage transistors, SiC components, as well as other products commonly used in industry, automotive, telecommunications, lighting, consumer electronics, etc. These products come directly from the NXP.
WeEn owns plants in China, R&D centres in Great Britain and Shanghai, and sales support in numerous countries throughout the world.
