Recently, the category of power cabling has expanded with articles from POS, a renowned manufacturer whose cables are popular among our customers.
The offer presented below includes all popular types of power cables. The assortment contains cables with factory-installed network plugs in European, South and North American, as well as Australian formats. Additionally, the cables are equipped with many standard connectors (male and female) used in machines, electronic devices, as well as RTV and household appliances. We invite you to explore the offer in our catalog, as well as the summary below.
The new POS assortment is divided into two groups: AC and DC cables. In the first group, we find cabling covered with an outer sheath made of black or white plastic. The applied wires are in the form of strands with cross-sections from 0.5mm2 to 1.5mm2. This ensures both good flexibility and allows for handling optimal electrical parameters, i.e., up to 250V AC and 16A, which meets the requirements of most typical devices powered by this type of cabling. Noteworthy is the selection of applied network connectors, allowing for the selection of a cable adapted to various global markets:
At the other end of the AC cables, standard plugs in various IEC formats are installed. These are small C7/C8 connectors (so-called figure-eight), in male and female versions, as well as C5 (so-called cloverleaf), containing an additional contact for the protective line. Such cables are most often used in the audio-video product segment and as a replaceable element of desktop power supplies (e.g., for laptops). This reduces production costs: a given converter model can be easily adapted to local requirements, increasing the potential distribution area. It is worth noting that the offer also includes extension cords, i.e., articles that have male and female variants of the same connector on opposite ends.
For applications with higher current requirements (machines, computers), the manufacturer provides cables with C13/C14 and C19 connectors. This group also includes extension cords.
From the POS offer, cables equipped only with a network plug are also available – the wires at the opposite end can be freely mounted/crimped/soldered.
The power cable offer is complemented by articles typically used for delivering direct current. They have male and female DC connectors in 5.5/2.1mm and 5.5/2.5mm formats. The first number here indicates the outer diameter of the connector (mass), the second the dimension of the axial hole (contact connected to the voltage wire). These types of cables have two wires (black and red) in the form of a strand (usually 0.5mm2). They can be separate wires or additionally surrounded together by a black PVC outer sheath (diameter up to 4.2mm). The nominal electrical parameters for all models are 60V DC and 3A. The products feature good thermal tolerance: they can operate at temperatures from -20°C to 80°C.
DC cables from POS, just like AC, are available in versions with connectors on both sides, as well as with a connector on one end and free wires on the other. They are adapted for installation in various types of products, serving as a component or spare part. They are available in lengths from 0.25m to 5m.
