Alutronic is a Germany-based manufacturer of cooling solutions for electronic components. From the TME catalog, you can find, among others, the manufacturer's heat sinks, but today we recommend another product group – thermal pads.
The pads are made of silicone characterized by a wide operating temperature range (from -60°C to 220°C) and thermal conductivity at the level of 0.9W/m·K. These elements provide electrical insulation thanks to a dielectric strength of from 2.5kV to 10kV. Available in thicknesses of from 0.18mm to 0.3mm and sizes from 7.9×11.1mm to 200×200mm (cutting sheets), allowing adaptation to diverse applications. They come in versions designed for use with components in SOT32, TO-3, TO-218, TO-220, TO-247, TOP-3, Multiwatt housings, as well as for use with quartz resonators. Their mounting between the component and the heat-dissipating element is done by screwing, clipping, or using thermally conductive adhesive coating (selected models).
