D-Sub connectors

D-Sub connectors are the most popular, universal cable-PCB connectors and cable-cable connectors, in which the shape of the plug and socket profiles resemble letter “D”. They are used for signal connections in electronics. They are equipped with a large number of contact pins. Thanks to this fact, one connector can be used to connect multiline digital communication buses, complex peripheral devices or sensors in measuring systems.

Another advantage of D-Sub connectors is the fact that their enclosure is equipped with connection blocking system containing screws or locks that stabilize mechanical connection of plug and socket and prevent unintentional disconnection.
